Thursday 24 September – Alphington Grammar
AFL
AFL moves from skills work into a run of games and challenges, including a kicking competition and small-sided matches that keep everyone involved. It's two-handed touch only, so it stays safe and welcoming while still capturing all the excitement of the real game. Kids build confidence with the ball in hand as the session builds towards full games.Nerf Battle
Nerf Battle is fast, energetic and full of teamwork, with kids ducking behind mats and barricades as they dash between bases to avoid getting hit. Safety glasses are worn at all times, keeping the fun high and the risk low. A few different team games rotate through the session, each with its own twist on the classic chase-and-tag format, testing quick thinking as much as speed.Kickball
Kickball takes the fun of baseball and swaps the bat for a big kick, with kids racing around the diamond while the fielding team works together to get them out. It's easy to pick up, so kids of every ability can jump straight in and get involved. Teams swap over once everyone's had a turn, keeping the game moving and the scores building.Run the Gauntlet
Run the Gauntlet pits runners against throwers, with kids sprinting for cover behind mats and barriers while trying to avoid getting hit. Every safe crossing earns a token, and getting hit doesn't mean missing out, since tokens can be passed on to a teammate to keep the game moving. A few different twists roll through the session, from a Doctor who can revive teammates to a Catcher who brings everyone back in with one clean grab.Drop off from 8:30am, with the program starting at 9am. The day is split into four activity blocks, with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks built in to keep energy up (please pack food for all three, as none is provided). Pick up by 3:30pm.
